Made from a proper plaid, woven Wool - Cut in a boxier fit than our usual Opus style, with added elastication to the cuffs and the hem of the sweater for shape and also trapping in that extra warm air insulating your body's core temperature.

Whether it's during warm up for that for that sports game, hiking over that native bush ridge or even under your snow jacket carving up on the slopes, this garment will definitely have your back covered during your next adventure.

    Tech Specs:

    • The unique blend of possum fur and merino lamb’s wool creates a piling retardant fibre. Possum fur is low-pill and anti-static which means the garment can be worn throughout the years and still look as new as the day it was purchased.
    • Possum fibre will not freeze, even when exposed to periods of prolonged cold. The only fibre on the planet known to have the same characteristic is Polar Bear fur.
    • Signature 'Mountain Geometric' Leather patch.

    Beautiful wrap

    I bought one several years ago for myself when we visited Ohakune. This one is a gift. It's a beautiful soft wrap perfect for travel, helps keep me warm on the plane.

    Enjoyed across generations

    I have two colours of this and they are wardrobe essentials that bridge the seasons and bring outfits together. My 96 year old Mum has two and uses them for everything… she’s arthritic in the shoulders so finds them easier to and more stylish to wear than cardigans and even puts them on her bed as a throw as well in autumn for extra warmth when it gets colder.

    The Raglan is a sports active first layer with a stylish, designer cut, it's the get out and do stuff every day garment. It keeps you cool when it's hot, warm when it's not. It's the ideal first layer in winter and it can also double as a light weight outer in the warmer months.

    Warmth and luxury

    I was looking for a winter sweater, warm but not overwhelmingly thick. No luck in Auckland. Then, while waiting for a train in Ohakune, I came across Opus Fresh at the station. A fab small store in an unexpected location. In there, I found a lovely and warm, thin, comfortable-to-wear mix of merino, possum and silk, in a colour that I actually like. And, my wife says, it’s stylish. So I feel very satisfied. Janelle’s offer of a free coffee was like a cherry on the icing on a cake.

    COMFIEST, CLASSIEST SWEATER EVER!

    My husband is VERY happy with his birthday gift. He wears it every day and says he feels great in it. It's really soft, but not scratchy, warm for our Ohakune cooler days and keeps his temperature regulated during warmer times. He LOVES the colour too! This is the perfect length for his 6'3" frame and the arm length is 100% spot on. Couldn't be happier with my purchase - I have a very happy husband! Thank You Opus!
